Dornochbahn is based on the former standard gauge terminus of Dornoch  (Sutherland) in Scotland.
In the latter years of operation the Dornoch branch found fame in using a pair of former GWR 16xx pannier tanks as motive power!

Following closure in 1960… fiction takes over in that the branch was re-laid with 2 foot six narrow gauge track, using mainly European motive power and rolling stock.
Passenger traffic is mainly operated by railcars and a steam heritage train is run for the increasing number of tourists who visit the area.
The main source of freight traffic too and from “Dornoch Distillery” are standard gauge wagons carried on either narrow gauge transporter wagons or bogies.

The railway is very much “work in progress”.
